I think that August generally gets a bum rap because of its reputation for being the last month before the school year once again resumes.
Personally, it’s one of my favorite months right alongside with July.
When the summer begins to wane, the leaves take on a different shade, with a woodworker’s grain and luster, showing off once again how mesmerizing nature can truly be.
The temperature yesterday was absolutely perfect. It was 78 for the high, and while the sun was hot, the humidity was almost nonexistent.
And as anyone who lives in New Jersey can relate, getting rid of the humidity is key.
It’s sticky, heavy, and uncomfortably unbreathable at times.
With Fall on the way, you can feel the crisp air beginning to come in off the surging Atlantic, but I’m sure we’ve still got more sweltering summer days ahead before the season passes.
Looking to embrace a lazy Sunday by doing a few quick chores and errands, then popping our feet up for some movies and a television show we like on HBO later tonight.
