So I’ll lead into today’s morning post by saying that I’ve never read anything else by Ali Smith.
Public Library is one of those books that set the bar so high that I can’t bring myself to dive deeper into her collection. This isn’t the first time this has happened to me with an author.
In any case, this book is all about book love. Encapsulated, centripetal stories about why we love books in the way that we do. It has a very cozy little spot on my Greatest Hits shelf and to be honest, I’m way overdue for a re-read.

Looking to try out her seasons quartet next, starting with Autumn. Has anyone else read other works of hers that they would recommend? I’ve always wanted to try How to Be Both, but every time I take a gander at it in the store, it comes across as confusing and extremely heavy (if that makes any sense).
