Current Read: “Stick” by Elmore Leonard
A crime thriller sequel to Leonard’s “Swag,” which I just finished this morning. Fantastic, amazing crime read. There are only very few of his that I’ve not found to be as visually memorable as his other titans, and this one does not fall into the lower populated category.
Elmore was in a league of his own and always will be. He crosses story universes and characters, lays on the slick dialogue like he was an ex-con himself at one point, and uses reoccurring locales like Detroit and Florida for most of the stories (as he visited them each frequently throughout his life).
What are you reading going into this early Spring weekend in April?
