It’s no secret at this point that I’m an absolute fanatic for Elmore Leonard literature.
But up until yesterday, I had never read any of the western works that his illustrious reputation was founded upon, much less any other book that is considered to be a wagon carriage western.
Whether you’re a fan of the desert dry tumbleweed genre or not, this book is absolutely brilliant.
It will no doubt go down as one of my favorites by this author and will possibly sneak into my Top 25 books of all time at the steamroll train whistle speed that it’s currently heading into station.
What a ride, what imagery, what throwback savagery, history, and honor.
A must read!

I will definitely have to add that to my pile…I’ve heard about it, but never actually picked it up!

Great recommendation! I haven’t read any Westerns before, but I do enjoy a good Western on the big screen 😍
