Before you’ve visited a place, whether inside the intercontinental United States or overseas, in your own subconscious it never yet existed to you.

Someone may have told you about it. Maybe they described it in detail and recounted one of their own vacations.

New Zealand.

But unless you step foot on that soil, see the terrain with your own eyes, and smell the cultural change in cuisine, it’ll just be a postcard with no written message on the flip side.

Am I saying that you should travel?

I’m no agent, but staying limber and on-the-go has always been one of my favorite pastimes.

I’m just saying that what we don’t see and experience doesn’t become a true reality until we’ve done so. The people, the places, the landmark sites, they don’t exist to us and neither us to them.

That is, until we roam Rome.
